Melania Trump Styles Her Hair Blonde To Celebrate The Arrival Of The White House Christmas Tree
It's first lady duties for Melania Trump as she led the celebration of the arrival of the 2020 White House Christmas tree earlier this week. She is sporting a blonde hairstyle and wearing a Balenciaga houndstooth coat during the occasion.
According to a report in the New York Post, Melania emerged at the north portico of the White House alone around noontime on Monday to accept the Christmas tree. It continues the long-time tradition of welcoming the Christmas tree despite the ongoing pandemic, as well as her husband, President Donald Trump's electoral protests.
Even former first ladies like Michelle Obama have received the White House Christmas tree, which heralds the start of the annual holiday festivities at the White House. It also includes the Presidential turkey pardon, also a White House holiday tradition, which is taking place this week.
This year, the Christmas tree is an 18 and ½ foot tall Fraser fir from Dan and Bryan Trees in West Virginia. Dan and Anne Taylor own the shop.
During the occasion, a military band played the lively medley on "O Christmas Tree," "Hark, the Herald Angels Sing," and "O Come, All Ye Faithful," witnessing Melania in her beautiful attire, maskless, greeting a horse-drawn carriage with the tree. The two coachmen and the horse handler of the carriage were masked.
First lady Melania Trump participated in a photo-op with the tree farmers who removed their masks during the pictorial. The tree will be displayed in the Blue Room.
Social media is abuzz with the welcoming of the Christmas tree. On the official Facebook page of President Trump, Patricia Fajardo commented, "So much love from those whose hearts and minds are stayed in positivities. First Lady Melania is a gracious stately blessing to our country. Merry Christmas to us all!"
The selection process for the White House holiday tree is a competitive process facilitated by the National Christmas Tree Association.
