Song Hye Kyo Shock: Is She Missing Song Joong Ki? Actress Shared Heartfelt Poem After Turning 39
Song Hye Kyo remains to be low-key more than a year since her infamous split from Song Joong Ki. The actress has not revealed a single detail about their divorce, making fans wonder how she is coping with the failed marriage.
Recently, Song Hye Kyo just celebrated her 39th birthday and she surprised fans by posting a heartfelt poem by Lang Leav on her official Instagram account. The Descendants of the Sun star shared a clip showing her savoring her moments alone in snow.
"If you came to me with a face I have not seen, with a name I have never heard, I would still know you. Even if centuries separated us, I would still feel you. Somewhere between the sand and the stardust, through every collapse and creation, there is a pulse that echoes of you and I," the poem, which Song Hye Kyo wrote in the caption, read.
"When we leave this world, we give up all our possessions and our memories. Love is the only thing we take with us. It is all we carry from one life to the next," it went on.
Some avid fans of Song Hye Kyo speculate that the poem was, actually, for Song Joong Ki. A number of lines in the verselet expressed sadness over a departure but cherishing all the love and memories they had together. The Full House star has yet to comment on these claims.
To recall, Hye Kyo and Joong Ki first met on the set of the 2016's Descendants of the Sun. Dating rumors plagued Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki while working on the hit series. However, initially, the two South Korean superstars had discredited all the romance speculations. In July 2017, the former lovebirds shocked fans when they confirmed their relationship and announced their engagement.
A day after the shocking announcement, Song Joong Ki wrote a heartfelt letter that described his relationship with Song Hye Kyo. "After the drama [Descendants of The Sun], I gained another precious friend who I shared my honest feelings with, and we developed a loving relationship. At the start of 2016, we promised to spend the rest of our lives together by understanding each others' weaknesses and helping each other through harsh times," the Arthdal Chronicles star wrote.
Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki, then, tied the knot on Oct. 31, 2017, in a very private wedding ceremony in Shilla Hotel in Seoul City. However, two years after their wedding, they broke the hearts of many fans when they announced their decision to separate. United Artists Agency revealed, in a statement, that "differences in personality" was the primary reason behind the breakup.
At the moment, both Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki are busy with their respective careers. Song Hye Kyo is said to be starring as Ha Young Eun in the upcoming Now, We Are Breaking Up drama while Song Joong Ki is leading the tvN's Vincenzo and the imminent Space Sweepers movie, which will be released on Netflix.
