JYP’s NiziU Sets Record For The Fastest Group To Enter NHK’s Kohaku Uta Gassen

On November 16, 2020, NHK revealed the lineup for the 71st Kohaku Uta Gassen and JYP Entertainment's upcoming girl group NiziU are among the top Japanese acts to grace the year-end event. 

The 9-member group is set to officially debut on December 2, making their appearance on the highly anticipated event just 29 days after debut and the fastest in the program's history.  

NiziU members have expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to attend a prestigious event saying, "We are happy to decorate the end of 2020 with a lot of new challenges with the Kohaku Uta Gassen. It was a dream for us to appear in the program since we were preparing to be a singer. When we heard the news we were thrilled with tears. We will show you a good image by preparing hard like NiziU".

NHK's Kohaku Uta Gassen is a year-end program that airs on December 31st every year. The program invites all the singers who have been loved the most in Japan for the past year. 

Meanwhile, NiziU will be making its debut with a Japanese single album "Step and a step" on December 2.
