Does Camilla Parker-Bowles Plan To Become Next People's Princess? Duchess Was 'Never Jealous' Of Diana
Camilla Parker-Bowles has been through a lot as the second wife of Prince Charles. Most, if not all, followers of the royal family are aware of how things have been complicated for the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall's marriage, especially since some people are still blaming them for the sudden death of Princess Diana.
New Idea, in its November 16, 2020 issue, claimed that Camilla Parker-Bowles continues to think about Princess Diana even after more than two decades since her shocking demise. The entertainment news publication even suggested that the Duchess plans to become the next People's Princess.
Royal expert Phil Dampier told the magazine that Camilla Parker-Bowles was never jealous of Princess Diana and that she was "happy" to be the mistress of Prince Charles. The author even claimed that the Duchess of Cornwall has adopted the fashion choices of the late princess.
Despite the fact that avid fans of Princess Diana would never forgive her for "destroying" the Prince and Princess of Wales' marriage, Dampier stated that Camilla Parker-Bowles has become more popular more than ever. He even added that the former wife of Andrew Parker-Bowles could be the Queen of the United Kingdom someday.
"She was never as beautiful and glamorous as Diana, but she is better suited to supporting Charles and they have a shared sense of humor and meeting of minds, which sadly was never there in his first marriage," Dampier said to the magazine.
Meanwhile, there have been reports stating that Camilla Parker-Bowles and Prince Charles had maintained their affair even after the latter tied the knot with Princess Diana. In her interview with Andrew Morton, the mother of Prince William and Prince Harry recounted her growing suspicion that Camilla and Charles were still communicating even after their breakup.
Princess Diana, allegedly, found out about a personalized bracelet Prince Charles had given Camilla Parker-Bowles shortly after their wedding. Initially, the People's Princess, according to Diana: Her True Story book, wanted to cancel the wedding. However, her siblings were able to convince her to continue the ceremony. Diana even claimed that Prince Charles donned the cufflinks Camilla bought him during their honeymoon.
Camilla Parker-Bowles and Prince Charles have yet to comment on these allegations. So, devoted supporters of the couple should take these unverified claims with a huge grain of salt until everything is proven true and correct.
