NCT’s Doyoung follows brother’s acting footsteps, to debut in MBC’s New Drama
In an exclusive report on November 2, SPOTV confirmed that NCT's Doyoung will be making his highly anticipated acting debut as the male lead of MBC's upcoming fantasy drama.
Doyoung, who is the little brother of actor Gong Myung, will portray the role of Son Ji Woo for Sanboksanbok Stoker (The Curious Stalker) which is the third season of MBC's Midnight Cafe series.
In this drama, Son Ji Woo (Doyoung's character) is an 18-year-old high school student who can see the future. The viewers will be able to witness the growth and therapeutic story of the lead as he "matures from experiencing a mix of chaotic feelings from having a mother who's losing her memories and heart-fluttering excitement from developing feelings for a friend."
This is Doyoung's first attempt at acting after appearing on various variety programs as well as being an MC for SBS' Inkigayo.
Meanwhile, NCT just made their comeback as a 23-membered group with "RESONANCE Pt. 1" last month. Plans for an NCT 2020 Concert are also under preparation according to SM Entertainment's CEO.
