Song Hye Kyo Fangirling Over IU; Song Joong Ki's Wife Sends Food Gifts At 'Hotel Del Luna' Set
Korean A-list actress Song Hye Kyo is also a fan. The Descendants of the Sun actress showed off the fangirl in her when she expressed support to singer-actress IU and her upcoming K-drama Hotel del Luna.
Song has shown her love and support to IU by sending a coffee and food trucks on the set of Hotel del Luna. Coffee and dessert cart service Coffee Pong shared some photos of a food vehicle that Song sent over for the cast and crew of the TV series. The banners on the food truck read, "Pretty Ji Eun (IU's given name) and staff members of Hotel del Luna, gather strength!!"
"Today, this support cart for actress IU was sent by the angel who is always caring for those around her, actress Song Hye Kyo! She prepared unlimited coffee, beverages, shaved ice, and slushies for the hardworking actors and staff filming late into the night," Coffee Pong wrote in the caption of the photos.
Additionally, Song sent over another meal cart that offers several goodies like tteokbokki, fish cakes, and more. This is to make sure that the cast and staff of Hotel del Luna have meals during filming.
Song Hye Kyo's husband, Song Joong Ki, revealed in a past interview that his wife is a huge fan of IU and she loves the singer's songs. The power couple also attended one of IU's concerts in 2017.
During IU's guest appearance on Knowing Brothers, the singer revealed that the Song-Song couple attended her solo concert in Korea in 2017 even though she is not personally acquainted with the DOTS stars. IU admitted that she was extremely nervous performing in front of the couple at the time.
Meanwhile, IU is currently filming Hotel del Luna alongside My Absolute Boyfriend actor Yeo Jin Goo. Other cast members include Block B's P.O, gugudan member Mina, Jung Dong Hwan, Shin Jung Geun, Bae Hae Sun, Seo Yi Sook, and Jo Hyun Chul.
In the upcoming drama, IU plays the role of Jang Man Wol, the beautiful but greedy CEO of Hotel del Luna. She has been stuck in the hotel for the past millennium after an accident. Yeo, on the other hand, portrays Goo Chan Sung, the new manager of the hotel.
Man Wol could only break the curse and escape the hotel if she finds someone who has committed a crime that is worse than hers. While finding that person, Man Wol manages the hotel that has ghost guests.
Hotel del Luna is set to premiere sometime in July on tvN. The network earlier released the first teaser for the K-drama.
