South Korea’s McDonald’s Is Changing Things Up With Fried Churros
McDonald’s in South Korea is very different from that in America, especially the menu.
The delicious Bulgogi burger is no longer the gem on the McDonald’s menu in the country as the fast food chain has now added churros to the mix, according to Food World News.
The chain’s Japanese franchise was reportedly the first to introduce McDonald’s churros under the name McChurro. The cinnamon sugar-covered fried dessert was reportedly launched in two different flavors, including Cinnamon Sugar and Maple.
Social media users from all around have already started to express jealousy.
“This needs to happen in the U.S.,” commented Twitter user Tim Buckingham.

The churros are quite affordable, with a price tag of about $1.30 each, according to Brand Eating.
It’s unclear whether McDonald’s will be adding churros to the menu in America. The chain has reportedly added menu items or promotions overseas first to see whether they will be successful enough to bring to the U.S.
The fast food chain has experimented with some interesting items overseas, including the Philippines’ Double Down Hot Dog in KFC. The Double Down Hot Dog was a hot dog wrapped inside two pieces of fried chicken that served as buns.
The churro has become one of the most popular items on the McDonald’s menu in South Korea. Envious social media users have begun to further explore the advantages of being a McDonald’s lover in South Korea.
“I had a friend who lived in South Korea and apparently McDonald’s delivers there,” tweeted Ivan_Moneypants.
