Parris Goebel Collabs With Justin Bieber For 'Purpose:The Movement'; Features Ladies Of ReQuest

Parris Goebel is a 24-year old choreographer based in New Zealand, who created, co-produced and directed 13 videos from Justin Bieber's new album, "Purpose: The Movement," according to Elle.

The release of Bieber's fourth album, was accompanied by a short film and individual clips that were choreographed by Goebel. These were revealed on Bieber's VEVO account over the weekend, revealed the NZ Herald.

Goebel's dance short film for "Purpose," was shown during a sold out show in Los Angeles, coinciding with the album's release.

Approximately a quarter of the videos were shot in New Zealand.

"It was a really, really random call, I was just at home one day three weeks ago and I got a call from his manager, who said they had been 'watching my stuff and you're really talented, we've had this crazy idea for his entire album,'" said Goebel in an interview at Radion NZ's Morning Report.

She assembled the video using her own wardrobe over the course of two days, packed them in a suitcase and took it to the shoot, reported Bustle.

Even before collaborating with Justin Bieber, Goebel has been able to choreograph for Nicole Scherzinger, Nicki Minaj, Janet Jackson and Cirque su Soleil. Fellow Kiwi Lorde is a self-professed fan. 

Parris also, was cast in one of the roles in the new Step Up 5 movie which is a global franchise and also did some choreography on the film. 

Goebel is the director and owner of Auckland's Palace Dance Studio and dances with her all-femail crew Ladies of ReQuest, which she started when she was 15 years old.

The dancer is also the choreographer of dance crew, "The Royal Family" and created a dance called "Polyswagg."

The choreographer described this dance move as "combining sassy woman with fire with aggressive inner strength."

Parris Goebel's dance crew "Ladies of Re Quest" has just finished a sold out tour in Australia, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
