EXO Celebrates 7th Anniversary; To Release A Special Gift For Fans This Month

April is a huge month for EXO and the members have all the reasons to celebrate. Aside from Chen's first solo album and a Billboard nod, EXO is also celebrating their seventh year in the industry.

EXO debuted on April 8, 2012, with their first single "MAMA." Shortly after midnight KST on April 8, EXO-Ls took over the worldwide trends on Twitter with the hashtags #7YearsWithEXO, #7ogetherWithEXO, and #EXO7thAnniversary.

To celebrate this special day, the members took to Twitter and shared their favorite EXO songs with their fans. The group's eldest Xiumin chose "Don't Go" from their debut first album XOXO, saying it's a song that a lot of their fans like.

Group leader Suho picked "Beautiful" from their second album EXODUS. He said the word "beautiful" describes EXO-L the best. Lay picked "Call Me Baby" from the same album, saying it showcased a more mature side of the members.

For Baekhyun, the title track "Love Shot" of their fifth repackaged album reminds him how adorable EXO-Ls are. He also thanked their fans for waiting for their comeback.

Chen chose "Heaven" from their third album EX'ACT and commented that it is the most fitting song for EXO-L because of their endless support and love. Chanyeol, on the other hand, chose "What Is Love" from members D.O. and Baekhyun. He said it is memorable because it was the first song that their fans were introduced.

D.O. picked their debut title single "MAMA," saying this song allowed them to meet their fans. Kai's choice is "Lucky" from their first repackaged album Growl, explaining how lucky he is to meet EXO-L. And finally, Sehun chose "Peter Pan" from XOXO album, commenting that the song allows him to briefly go back to the past and reminisce the time that they debut.

Meanwhile, EXO is also set to release a photobook as a special gift to their fans on their anniversary month. The photobook, titled PRESENT ; gift, has a theme of a vacation. The members had their photoshoot in the majestic scenic views in Hawaii while enjoying an R&R in the island state.

The photobook will go on pre-sale starting on April 8. It will be officially released on April 30.

EXO earlier receive a nomination from the 2019 Billboard Music Awards for Top Social Artist award. The SM Entertainment K-pop boy group is nominated along with fellow Korean acts BTS and GOT7. The awards night is set on May 1 at the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
