'Game Of Thrones' Season 8 Spoilers: New HBO Footage Teases Arya & Drogon In GOT Final Season
HBO has dropped new footage that offers a glimpse of what to expect in Game Of Thrones Season 8. Although the nearly two-minute long promotional clip features all of HBO's shows that are slated to premiere or return this season, many are thrilled to see the snippets for GOT Season 8 particularly the part of Arya seeing Drogo for the first time.
GoT opens the HBO montage with the Wall, and then at 48 seconds mark, Drogon is seen flying overhead while the Unsullied march by. Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) looks up and sees the dragon. A sly smile is then seen on her face.
The clip also ends with Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) looking resolute as the Wall comes crumbling down. The Night King and Tormund are also seen towards the end of the footage.
HBO previously teased new Game Of Thrones clip during the Golden Globe Awards. It showed Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) arriving in Winterfell with Jon Snow (Kit Harington) while Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) welcomes them.
Last year, the network also released the very first footage for Season 8 and it shows Jon and Sansa's reunion. Game of Thrones Season 8 is set to premiere on April 14 and it will have only six episodes.
As the premiere date of GoT final season is fast approaching, fans are expecting that HBO will drop a full trailer anytime soon. The anticipation for the final season gets hyped further after Clarke guarantees that Season 8 will "shock" viewers.
At the red carpet for the 2019 Oscars on Sunday, the 32-year-old actress was asked by E!'s Ryan Seacrest to share her thoughts about the last season of GoT. Clarke warned that the final installment of HBO's award-winning series will shock fans.
"It's going to be huge, that much everyone needs to know. It took us a long time to film this one for a very good reason... I know there's going to be some things in this last season that will shock people," the Solo: A Star Wars Story actress revealed.
Meanwhile, the HBO new footage also shows a little bit of Big Little Lies Season 2 which will feature Meryl Streep, and a new installment of Veep, Barry, and more. HBO also gifted viewers with a first look of its upcoming shows such as Euphoria, Mrs. Fletcher, Watchmen, Catherine the Great, O.G., The Case Against Adnan Syed, Chernobyl, His Dark Materials, and more.
