'Supernatural' 300th Episode To Feature Time Travel, Different Castiel, & Return Of Past Characters

Supernatural's 300th episode is not due until next year. However, the cast and crew of The CW's long-running TV series have been teasing on what fans could expect in the milestone episode.

Apparently, the show is preparing for a very special 300th episode. Misha Collins, who plays the role of angel Castiel, revealed that the episode will feature a little time travel and viewers will also see a different version of his character.

Meanwhile, Supernatural executive producer Brad Buckner also previously teased that other familiar faces will return for the 300th episode. There is a long list of characters that Supernatural fandom would like to see once again fighting against or alongside the Winchester brothers.

On top of it is Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean's (Jensen Ackles) father, John (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). It would be interesting to watch how John and his wife, Mary (Samantha Smith), will interact in the present time. Many viewers would also like to see again Crowley (Mark Sheppard), Ellen (Samantha Ferris) and Jo Harvelle (Alona Tal), Rowena (Ruth Connell), Ruby (Katie Cassidy), Kevin Tran (Osric Chau), and more.

Since Supernatural is a fantasy series and the main characters are basically dealing with anything beyond what human can explain, the show can actually bring back anyone they wish to reappear on its 300th episode. Fans have already seen the return of the two of the most beloved characters in the show, Bobby (Jim Beaver) and Charlie (Felicia Day). The two already died in the past seasons of Supernatural.

As for Ackles and Padalecki, the two have hinted in the past that there is one character they would want to see again in the 300th episode to tie some loose ends. Co-showrunner Andrew Dabb, on the other hand, said during the San Diego Comic-Con in July that they are looking at a story about Sam and Dean living in the bunker for years in Lebanon, Kansas.

"So it becomes: How do these people view Sam and Dean. We think it could be a real love letter to the show, in what we hope is going to be a very heartwarming way - with murder. Heartwarming with murder," he said.

The Supernatural 300th episode will be the current season's 13th episode and it will be directed by EP Robert Singer. Supernatural Season 14 Episode 7 airs on November 29 at 8/7c on The CW.
