Ethan Hunt is in South Korea! Tom Cruise, who played the role of IMF agent Ethan Hunt, along with other cast members of Mission: Impossible – Fallout, is coming to Korea's Running Man. The SBS variety show confirmed the cast appearance of the movie franchise in a special episode this month.

It was earlier reported that they had been talks about the appearance of the spy-action film cast members in the show. It was confirmed recently when Running Man released a teaser after it aired its latest episode.

As per Soompi report, cast members Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg, and Henry Cavill, along with director Christopher McQuarrie, are set to arrive in South Korea between July 15 and 16 to promote the new MI movie. Apparently, the Mission: Impossible actors will appear in Running Man as part of their promotion. Watch the teaser below.

The nature of the episode is still unclear. However, it could be in the form of the Running Man game or to complete a Mission: Impossible task. The special episode with Cruise, Pegg, and Cavill will air on July 22 as stated in the teaser. Running Man has hosted several celebrity guests in the past. Jackie Chan was its first major Hollywood star who appeared on the show.

In the sixth installment in the Mission: Impossible franchise, Hunt is racing against time to prevent a global catastrophe while being hunted by assassins and former allies. The flick has been met with positive reviews. Critics have asserted that the latest installment could be the best one yet of the franchise and it is a "must-see" movie this summer because of Cruise's non-stop action sequences.

Mission: Impossible – Fallout also stars Alec Baldwin, Rebecca Ferguson, Michelle Monaghan, Vanessa Kirby, and veteran actress Angela Bassett. The film had its world premiere last week in Paris and is set to be released in cinemas in the U.S. on July 27. It will run for two hours and 27 minutes.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK members Jennie and Jisoo will return to Running Man after their last appearance over a year ago. The two will join Han Eun Jung, Hwang Chi Yeol, Bora, and Pyo Ye Jin in a couple race that will take place at a waterpark. The episode with Jennie and Jisoo will air on July 15 at 4:50 p.m. KST on SBS.
