BTS has opened up about their experience in the recent 2018 Billboard Music Awards and explained why they skipped the after-party. The K-pop group said it was not because they don't want to mingle with their fellow musicians but it is due to some important people in their lives. The BTS idols also expressed excitement that their dream to have a stadium concert is almost within their reach.

In the recent 2018 BMAs, BTS decided not to attend the event's after-party to do a live show via Naver's V-Live instead. The group opened up at the SBS' 8 O'clock News, saying they went straight back to their hotel rooms after winning the Top Social Media Artist award because they want to thank their fans even via virtual fan meet.

"It was our fans who we shared with joyful hearts every time we promoted an album. I think we wanted to celebrate and enjoy the moment with our fans through a live show in an afterparty style of our own," J-Hope said (via AllKpop).

BTS understand that they have won their two awards in BMAs because of their Army's unwavering support. There is no doubt that BTS has more reasons to be grateful to their Army. Their latest album Love Yourself: Tear remains in the top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart this week after peaking at No. 1 last week.

It looks like the Korean act is also less nervous when they attended the BMAs the second time around. It can be recalled that the BTS members were all edgy when they first attended BMAs last year.

In the recent awards ceremony, they were able to talk to more artists and took photos with them. Jin revealed that there were also musicians who asked them if they can do a collaboration with BTS. He said it would be their honor to work with other international artists.

"It was our second time at the Billboard Music Awards. Because of that, we developed a close relationship with some people and having people come up to us to take photos and requesting to collaborate with us was so wonderful and was a huge honor," Jin said.

In another interview, BTS expressed excitement that they can almost taste the realization of their dream to have a stadium concert. The K-pop idol group is set to embark on a Love Yourself world tour starting in August. Among their tour dates is a two-night concert at the Seoul Olympic Stadium which has a capacity of almost 70,000.

"I believe not many people get to go on [a stadium tour]. It feels like [the chance] is quickly approaching us. It's so close that it feels like we'll be able to do it within a short time. It seems like our dreams are coming true," Suga told MBC's News Desk (via Soompi).

BTS has sold out its upcoming tour dates in 10 cities in North America and Europe, three months before their kick off date. Reports indicate that all of the 180,000 tickets for North America and 100,000 tickets for Europe have been sold.

BTS will begin their world tour in Seoul on Aug 25 and 26. The ticket sales for the concert in Seoul Olympic Stadium have yet to be released. Bit Hit Entertainment said they will announce details for the Seoul concert very soon.
