Lee Min Ho 2018: Suzy Bae’s Ex Believes Kissing Park Shin Hye Was The Right Thing To Do But Regrets One Thing [WATCH]
Lee Min Ho has been in the Korean entertainment world for over a decade, so he knows how to do his job well, and also to treat his co-stars with much respect. However, being a professional celebrity that he is, the Legend Of The Blue Sea actor believes that he must comply with what he was asked to do even if it will cause an awkward moment.
The 30-year-old South Korean actor and singer is known for being a gentleman to his leading ladies, but he’s also aware that he cannot control the script. So when Lee Min Ho was asked by The Heirs director to kiss Park Shin Hye, he did exactly that.
Lee Min Ho believed that their famous kissing scene was not just some random idea, but it was actually needed to complete the story, which is why he felt that it was the right thing to do. However, Suzy Bae’s ex couldn’t help but feel bad for Park Shin Hye because she was clearly startled when he kissed her.
"Since the kiss was the culmination of all the events and emotions leading up to it, there was no other alternative than to do it for real," Lee Min Ho said in an interview with Korea's Daily Sports. "I did regret that no one told Park Shin Hye beforehand. Usually, actresses are given an idea of what will happen. So I think Park Shin Hye was caught off-guard by how it played out."
In spite of his regret, Lee Min Ho complimented Park Shin Hye for being professional. Although the Boys Over Flowers star admitted that he is not really good at advising his co-stars, he had nothing but good things to say about working with the 28-year-old South Korean actress and singer.
"She's younger than I am, but she has more experience," Lee Min Ho said. "Honestly, I am not so good at talking to actresses about acting or offering them support. I just follow my feelings, and I was grateful that she went along with what I did."
Awkward or not, Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye’s kissing scene was certainly one of the best moments in The Heirs. The South Korean television series was very successful, and the Legend Of The Blue Sea actor and the Doctors star’s undeniable chemistry was the key factor.
