Fans were shocked to see a death threat addressed to BTS member Jimin. As the police and BigHit Entertainment are now doing everything to keep everyone safe, the 22-year-old talked about the threat against him and his reaction to it.

At BTS's press conference for their third album Love Yourself: Tear, on Thursday, May 24, Jimin was asked about the anonymous death threat made against him that was revealed earlier this month. He admitted that it was the second time he had received a threat like this after the same incident took place in 2017. "I was a bit flustered," he admitted, per Soompi.

However, Jimin believed that BTS fans are more worried for his life than he is. He then assured everyone that the news does not threaten him. In fact, he said that personally, there are a lot of people waiting for him; thus, he doesn't have the "time or energy" to be affected by those words against him. He also guaranteed that their staff is taking good care of all of them, so fans don't have to worry about their safety.

Additionally, Jimin also cleared the issue surrounding the selfie he posted on May 13 on Twitter. Some said that he looked terrified in the snap after the news about the death threat against him circulated online. The BTS member explained that he was just simply tired at the time the picture was taken and he was not actually shaken by the news. "I made that expression because I was tired," he said.

To recall, an anonymous social media user threatened to shoot Jimin to death at BTS's upcoming concert in Texas on September 16. The post was made on Curious Cat, the Q&A social network like Quora. "It's going to be fun seeing his lifeless body hit the floor," the death threat read, IBTimes reported.

A BTS fan then got the Fort Worth police's attention, and it confirmed that it was already aware of the issue and is currently investigating the threat. On the other hand, BigHit Entertainment revealed it was taking the death threat against Jimin seriously. It also planned to do something about it and take all the necessary measures to keep V, Suga, Jin, Jungkook, RM, Jimin, J-Hope, and their fans safe.
