‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 15 Update: Kim Raver’s Teddy Altman Expected To Bring Complication To Owen And Amelia’s Relationship
Dr. Teddy Altman is staying in Seattle for good, and this means Dr. Owen Hunt could be facing a lot of baby drama in Grey's Anatomy Season 15. Aside from acting as a foster dad to a baby, a new child is also coming his way as suggested in the finale of Season 14.
The previous season of the ABC medical drama left a cliffhanger featuring Dr. Teddy Altman (Raver) admitting to her patient that she is pregnant. Most likely, it is Owen's (Kevin McKidd) baby as he and Teddy slept together when the trauma surgeon visited her in Germany.
Owen traveled across the Atlantic to tell Teddy that they should be together. The female doctor, however, kicked him out of her place when she realized that Owen is still thinking about Amelia (Caterina Scorsone).
Teddy's pregnancy will cause more drama in the series when she finally tells Owen about the baby. Speculations are rife that it is Owen's child since Teddy agreed to work in Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital as interim Chief of Surgery while Dr. Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) takes time to focus on her other projects.
The drama is expected to build up when Teddy's situation creates complication on Owen and Amelia's current relationship. As of late, the relationship between the two is getting better as they kind of starting a foster home of their own.
Amelia decided to mentor the junkie mother of Owen's foster child. Adding another child (or a woman) into the mix will definitely affect Owen and Amelia's current setup.
So far, it looks like Teddy has no plan to reveal her pregnancy just yet. However, it will not take long before her colleagues notice her baby bump.
Meanwhile, Raver is thrilled working with the Grey's Anatomy cast again. The actress said she felt lucky to be given an opportunity to continue playing the role of Teddy Altman. Raver is rejoining the show as Grey's Anatomy bids farewell to longtime regulars Jessica Capshaw (Arizona) and Sarah Drew (April) in the Season 14 finale.
The actress is the first series regular to return in the same capacity. Raver made her debut in Grey's as a main cast member in Season 6. She exited the series after the eighth season.
Raver is best known for her role as Audrey Raines in 24 and 24: Live Another Day. She recently appeared in a recurring capacity in ABC's Designated Survivor opposite 24 co-star Kiefer Sutherland. The show was recently canceled after two seasons. Meanwhile, Grey's Anatomy Season 15 will return on ABC in the fall.
