‘Family Guy’ Season 17 Air Date: Fox Show To Shift Timeslot In Next Installment After Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Transfer To NBC?

Family Guy Season 17 is already a done deal! The confirmation of the Fox show’s renewal was not surprising at all since the animated comedy series about a wacky family almost reached the success of The Simpsons. However, the only question that remains on everyone’s mind is when could it return.

Even before Family Guy Season 17 was confirmed, the Family Guy Season 16 finale, titled “Are You There, God? It’s Me, Peter,” already gave away the idea that there is another installment on its way. Peter Griffin (Seth MacFarlane) has had his share of religious experiences over the years, so when he finally met God in the season finale, the only possible question left at the time was not if Family Guy Season 17 would be picked up but when could its premiere on Fox be?

“He inquires about the meaning of life and his own life, and he gets interesting answers,” executive producer Rich Appel told TVLine about Peter Griffin’s encounter with God in the Family Guy Season 16 finale. “He learns a lot about himself. Seth plays God and Peter.”

Now that The Last Man on Earth is over and Brooklyn Nine-Nine is moving over to NBC, it appears that the timeslot for Family Guy Season 17 might be shifted. However, CarterMatt noted that the American animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane is considered one of the network’s biggest shows, so they will surely be consistent when it comes to the show’s timeslot, and it is not expected to be affected by all these changes.

In fact, the site said that the only things that will change when Family Guy Season 17 finally returns on the small screen are the shows and series airing around it. CarterMatt shared that “things are going to be slightly different on the network later this year,” but then added that viewers would not see “any huge swings.”

Meanwhile, after the confirmation of the hit Fox show, the Family Guy Season 17 premiere date was not announced. However, CarterMatt noted that “the latest batch of episodes will come in the fall, probably either near the end of September or the start of October.” The Family Guy Season 17 premiere date has yet to be verified.
