'One Piece' Episode 837 Spoilers: 'The Birth of Mom! The Day That Carmel Vanished!' To Reveal The Mystery Surrounding Big Mom And Mother Carmel

In the latest episode of One Piece, fans have met Mother Carmel and learned Big Mom's tragic past. So, as viewers have a lot of questions, the anime series promised to answer it all in the upcoming Episode 837, "The Birth of Mom! The Day That Carmel Vanished!" and reveal why the "mysterious mother" is so important.

Episode 836, "Mom's Secret! The Giant's Island Elbaph and a Little Monster!" introduced Mother Carmel, voiced by the newly-added cast Fumi Hirano, per Otaku Art. She has been known as the one who looked after Big Mom when she was still a child.

In One Piece Episode 836, Mother Carmel was first known as Sister Carmel, a nun who kept people from executing Giant Pirates. She earned the name "mother" when she started to build a home for lost children. Here, she took the young Big Mom, or Charlotte Linlin, when her parents left her. Linlin often caused trouble and began to be violent and destructive.

Although Mother Carmel tried her best to tame young Linlin's attitude, she can't just merely tone her down as seen in One Piece Episode 836. In spite of their differences, she became the latter's surrogate mother. Hence, she holds an important role in her life. This is especially true when she was just a child, Comicbook reported.

However, despite showing Big Mom and Mother Carmel's backstories, fans still have a lot of questions about the two. So, in the upcoming One Piece Episode 837, viewers will finally get the answers to the two characters' every mystery. In the preview, the narrator revealed a big event is going to happen, and this will change young Linlin's fate.

Big Mom's battle with the Giants and the "stunning secret of the miracle-making Holy Mother Caramel" will also be explained in the upcoming One Piece Episode 837. Aside from that, the origin of the mysterious Tea Party will be revealed, and other mysteries that have been boggling fans' minds will be explored in "The Birth of Mom! The Day That Carmel Vanished!"

It has been known that one of Big Mom's weaknesses is that she always needs to have a tea party while staring at her Mother's portrait. Fans have been wondering about the reason behind the major effect the photo has on her, and why someone as important as Mother Carmel is not with her today.
