‘Dragon Ball Super’ Updates: Film Introduces New Villain, Goku’s New Ability Finally Arrives In The Manga
Dragon Ball Super is one of the most popular anime and manga series with millions of fans not only in Japan but all over the world as well. It certainly helps that it's an offshoot of the well-established original Dragon Ball series which made its debut via the Weekly Shōnen Jump back in 1984.
Unfortunately for its horde of fans, the Dragon Ball Super anime series is currently on a break after airing its 131st episode early this year and won't be back until next year. But the relatively long wait should not be a reason for fans to be depressed as there are plenty of exciting things coming to the franchise.
Dragon Ball Super Movie Will Introduce New Villain
Fans might have heard by now that a new DBS film is on the way. In fact, it's probably one of the reasons why the anime will be returning next year as the team is busy working on the movie at the moment.
One of the most exciting things to be introduced by the upcoming Dragon Ball Super film is a new super-powered villain that just might be Goku's match. The DBS trailer released earlier this year already confirms this as fact. While not much is known about the identity of this new enemy, most sources say that it's going to be a Saiyan villain.
But the powerful foe will not be a regular Saiyan however. The DBS trailer shows that the villain is a bit bulkier than the regular Saiyan when he transformed. The formidable fighter was shown with yellow eyes and a green aura. There are speculations that Goku's opponent will be somehow related to Frieza, but it is still unclear just how the two might be connected.
Ultra Instinct Goku Coming To DBS Manga
While the upcoming DBS movie is going to introduce a new foe, Dragon Ball Super manga fans will have something to look forward to as well. It was already confirmed that Goku's newest ability, the Ultra Instinct, will be arriving at the manga series soon.
DBS anime fans are already familiar with the form since it was first introduced during the Tournament of Power in the Universe Survival Saga. By activating the Ultra Instinct state, Goku is able to tap deeper into his potential by breaking his self-limiting shells and drastically increasing his fighting prowess both offensively and defensively.
