On Sunday, May 6, the favorite Korean drama Daegoon or Grand Prince came to an end with a big bang. The show broke records by being TV Chosun's highest rating drama with a 5.6 percent record.

As a reward, TV Chosun will give the Grand Prince cast, Yoon Si Yoon, Jin Se Yeon, Joo Sang Wook, and Hyoyoung, and crew a vacation to Vietnam's Da Nang for five days. This will start on Wednesday, May 23, per AllKpop.

Nielsen Korea recorded the Grand Prince's final episode got a 5.6 percent viewership rating nationwide, even in the metropolitan areas. According to Soompi, this is the drama's highest rating compared to the 4 percent viewership its previous episodes normally got.

In the Grand Prince finale, fans witnessed a lot of heartbreaks and unexpected betrayal. Viewers already knew Prince Jin Yang (Joo Sang Wook) would go on a fight before he gave up the throne. From here, an action-packed scene was revealed with a touch of heavy drama at the final episode's end. So, the series wrapped up with a lot of emotions.

The Grand Prince finale's most-watched minute was when Yoon Na Gyeom (Ryu Hyoyoung) cried and grieved in front of her husband's, Lee Kang (Joo Sang Wook), grave. In fact, this scene alone got 7.131 percent viewership ratings, the drama's highest watched minute ever.

Yoon Na Gyeom was a noblewoman's daughter who married the second prince, Lee Kang. This made her a part of the royal family. As she wanted to have the influence and power, she did everything to gain it in Grand Prince. However, in spite of her determination, it can't be denied that she really loved her husband, who was, unfortunately, in love with another woman.

In the Grand Prince finale, Yoon Na Gyeom was left with no choice but to leave the palace the moment Lee Kang surrendered the throne. Fearing she would never see him again, she told him, "I pledged my loyalty to you because I wanted to be loved by you."

She also confessed she loved him not because of power or greed, but she just simply wanted to be his lover. After that tear-jerking scene and some moments passed by, she was later seen standing by her husband's grave.
