It will be one eventful week for the long-running Days of Our Lives. A long-time DOOL actress will be saying goodbye to the show this week while Abigail will finally realize the extent of her recently-discovered mental illness.
Long-time Actress Leaves DOOL On May 10
Characters, as well as the actors playing them, come and go in dramas, and Days of Our Lives is no exception to this rule. This week will see another exit of a long-time actress of the show.
Actress Louise Sorel will bid farewell to DOOL this coming Thursday, May 10, 2018, according to Blasting News. The reason for her departure is that her character, Vivian Alamain, will be shot by a still unknown party. While doctors try to save her life, the report says that Vivian will not be able to survive the surgical procedure.
Louise Sorel's character is one of the most iconic villains the long-running drama has produced. Sorel first joined the show as Vivian Alamain in March 1992 and was a series regular until February 2002. It was a role that earned Sorel five Soap Opera Digest Awards.
She reprised her DOOL role in December 2009 and played Vivian until June 2011 when the show decided to let go of several actors to make way for new faces. However, she was back to Days of Our Lives in December 2017 and has played the same role since then.
Abigail Remembers Her Crimes
On Monday's DOOL episode, Abigail got the shock of her life when she learned that she is suffering from multiple personalities. Aside from her original self, Abigail has actually two different alter-egos Gabby and Dr. Laura, according to a report by the Inquisitr.
However, the worst is still to come for Abigail. This week, Chad will try to help her face her greatest demons in an attempt to get rid of her dangerous alter-egos. However, the trick is that Abigail will have to remember the horrifying memory of the night Andre died. Will Abigail find the courage to face such unappetizing truth?
