BTS Returns To 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show;' Group Might Perform Hit Single On American TV

BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan or Bulletproof Boys) is back at it again with their international popularity, as the South Korean male group will be returning to the U.S. for a feature. The stay in the U.S. will be spent with none other than Ellen DeGeneres in her show aptly titled The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

This was confirmed by BTS' agency itself, Big Hit Entertainment where they revealed that the boy band consisting of seven members will be making their appearance once again on U.S. national television. Fans who are waiting for this or are excited about their "oppas" might have to wait indefinitely since Big Hit Entertainment did not reveal the exact date of BTS' guesting on the show. Though Variety has claimed it will happen on May 25, that is to be taken with a grain of salt.

There also seems to be no official announcement from Ellen herself. Her show's executive producer, John Lassner, has acknowledged the visit and even shared an article by Variety discussing the confirmation from Big Hit Entertainment. All in all, it seems that BTS guesting in The Ellen DeGeneres Show is set and could happen soon since both parties seem to have affirmed the event.

Additionally, since BTS is also set to release their newest album titled Love Yourself: Tear on May 18, they might also perform one of its songs in The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The song is said to be "Fake Love," according to Variety, and that BTS might perform this on the show on May 25 along with their interview with Ellen.

BTS' stay in the U.S. does not stop or even start there, however, since prior to their supposed May 25 guesting in The Ellen DeGeneres Show, they will be visiting Las Vegas. This is to take place on May 20 where they will be performing a song from their album Tear at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas for being nominated for the top social artist award. This will not be their first time in Las Vegas, too. Last year saw them winning the same award they are now currently nominated for and they also visited the U.S. state for a performance and the ceremony.

As for their appearance in Ellen's show, this upcoming one will be their second. The first time was back in November 2017 where they first made their U.S. daytime debut. All is set again for another performance by BTS supposedly on May 25.
