Korean Couple Lee Chun Hee And Jeon Hye Jin To Star As Husband And Wife In New K-Drama
Korean stars Lee Chun Hee and Jeon Hye Jin are bringing in love on to the TV screen. The real-life couple will be playing a husband and wife in JTBC2's upcoming drama, titled A Day in the World, May 32.
Lee Chun Hee and Jeon Hye Jin Work Together On New Series
The two have been cast to portray the role of a married couple in a time slip fantasy drama. The story will focus on the importance of time spent with family.
The drama will revolve around a 30-year-old father who has trouble understanding his daughter who finds difficulty shower her love for her parents. The family will end up traveling back in time where they learn to understand the true meaning of family.
Playing a couple would be easy for Lee Chun Hee and Jeon Hye Jin. They previously played characters in 2009 drama, Smile, You, who developed feelings for each other and eventually fell in love. The upcoming drama A Day in the World, May 32 will be the first project for the two as a married couple. Reports indicate that Lee and Jeon have shown perfect chemistry on set.
A Day in the World, May 32 is set to debut on May 4 at 10:30 p.m. KST. The premiere coincides with the Korean holiday known as "Family Month."
Lee Chun Hee and Jeon Hye Jin On Their Career And Marriage
Ahead of the debut of their new K-drama, Lee Chun Hee and Jeon Hye Jin talked about their career and married life in an interview with Cosmopolitan Korea. Lee and Jeon tied the knot in 2011 after meeting on the set of Smile, You. Lee's close friend and Goblin actor Gong Yoo was among the celebrities who attended the wedding ceremony. He also served as the MC in the event.
Lee said his wife look happier since she returned to work. Jeon was last seen in the Korean movie RV: Resurrected Victims, which was released in October 2017. She recently starred in tvN's drama Mother.
"She looks the happiest when she's working. It may be a given since she's working again after resting for about seven years. I become even happier when I see her enjoying the work she's doing," he said about his wife.
Jeon looks up to Lee, not just as her husband, but also as a lifelong confidante and partner. She also praised him for being a good listener.
"Whenever he listens to my thoughts and concerns or thinks of all the good and bad things that happen to me as his own issues, I think to myself that I'm lucky that [my husband] is this person. I feel relieved just at the thought of having someone like this by my side," Jeon Hye Jin said.
Lee Chun Hee is better known for his appearances in the Korean show Family Outing. Jeon Hye Jin, on the other hand, is known for her roles in Ruler of Your Own World, Family's Honor, and One Million Roses. She also appeared in the movies Shadows in the Palace and Family Matters.
