Netizens shared their support and encouragement for Korean star Han Ye Seul following her recently botched surgery. The actress shared a couple of her post-operation photos and fans were shocked to see what she went through.

Han Ye Seul recently had a lipoma surgery. Lipoma is a soft, fatty tissue that forms under the skin. It is painless and considered as a benign or harmless tumor. It doesn't need to be taken out, but Han decided to have her lipoma removed. The procedure, however, didn't go as well as she expected.

The 20th Century Boy and Girl actress posted two photos showing a huge wound on her torso, just below the left armpit where the lipoma was removed. In one photo, she wrote how she is hurt both physically and emotionally given what happened to her. Another picture shows the nasty stitching of the wound.

"I had a medical accident when I was undergoing surgery to remove the lipoma. Even though it has been 2 weeks since my operation, there is no compensation from the hospital. Honestly, I do not think any compensation will be comforting," Han wrote in the caption.

Netizens sent their support to the actress while slamming the doctor who performed the procedure and the hospital where the surgery was carried out. Some said those responsible for Han's suffering would not even apologize if it happened to a non-celebrity person.

"That looks really bad, it must be so emotionally damaging too," one netizen wrote. "My husband had a fatty tumor removed and it never left a scar this bad. What exactly did the doctor do to cause this?" another said.

Han Ye Seul's Doctor Apologized For "Error" In Surgery

The doctor responsible for Han Ye Seul's surgery already admitted his mistake and issued an apology to the Hallyu star. In an interview which was uploaded on YouTube, Dr. Lee Ji-hyun of the Cha Medical Center in Gangnam admitted to damaging Han's skin from the inside while removing the lipoma.

He explained that it occurred as the electric knife cut through the skin from below while he was stripping and exfoliating the lipoma. He also clarified that he did not perform a skin graft from other parts of Han's body or a donor.

"It's easier to remove the tumor if surgery is done right around the lipoma. But considering that she is an actress, I suggested removing it from below, so she could cover up the scar with clothing," Lee explained.

Meanwhile, CHA Gangnam Medical Center admitted in a statement that there were errors committed in the surgery. The hospital also pledged to compensate the actress. It vowed to provide support to Han in hopes of fully repairing the damaged part of her body through plastic surgery.

Han Ye Seul appeared in several K-dramas, including Birth of a Beauty and Tazza. She made a comeback on television with the 2016 show Madame Antoine: The Love Therapist and last year's 20th Century Boy and Girl from MBC.
