‘Code Geass’ Season 3 Release Date & Spoilers: New Installment Will Be Released After The Premiere Of 3 Movies, Protagonist’s Future Discussed

Code Geass Season 3 is still one of the most highly anticipated animes of this year and the anime lovers are passionately waiting to get more details on it. Fans previously believed that the series would never come back but it is confirmed that the third season would be made.

Before the making of Code Geass Season 3, Sunrise first intends to launch three movies to test the popularity, as those movies are based on the previous seasons (1 and 2). In other words, Sunrise wants to make three movies by compiling the earlier seasons even to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Code Geass.

The third movie will be released on May 26, 2018

The movies were supposed to include extra scenes also to excite the anime enthusiasts. The first two movies (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion - The Awakening Path released on October 21, and Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion - The Rebellion Path on February 10) have already been premiered in Japan, whereas Sunrise is all set to release the third movie on May 26 this year.

The third movie will be named as Code Geass - Hangyaku no Lelouch - Ōdō (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion - The Imperial Path). It will also include contents from Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, as reported by Otakukart.

What can the anime lovers expect in Code Geass Season 3?

As far as the premiere of Code Geass Season 3, the date can't be speculated as Sunrise has not released any details of the series' development. The series, however, will continue following "the alternative time" (i.e., a hypothetical self-contained parallel universe in fiction) where the world is divided into three superpowers - the European Union (Europe and Africa; formerly called the Euro-Universe), the Chinese Federation (Asia), and the Holy Britannian Empire (the Americas; also called Britannia).

The exiled Britannian prince, Lelouch vi Britannia, who is the son of Emperor Charles zi Britannia and his royal consort Marianne vi Britannia, acquires a power known as Geass and contemplates to bring the Holy Britannia Empire down. Now the viewers are eagerly waiting to see what this protagonist is going to do with the Holy Britannia Empire in the upcoming season.
