Song Joong Ki 2018: Song Hye Kyo's Husband, BTS, EXO And Kim Soo Hyun Could Work Together, Actor's New Project Unveiled

Song Joong Ki is considered as one of the most popular South Korean stars today along with PSY, Lee Min Ho, BTS, Park Shin Hye, Gong Yoo, Suzy Bae and G-Dragon. The 32-year-old actor rose to fame after he appeared as Captain Yoo Si Jin in the popular 2016 television series called Descendants of the Sun. Before he decided to temporarily stay away from the limelight, the Daejeon-native's filmed The Battleship Island movie.

Now, new reports suggest that Song Joong Ki is now ready to go back to work and star in another film. Aside from The Battleship Island, Primadonna shared the husband of Song Hye Kyo also appeared in other motion pictures such as A Werewolf Boy, Penny Pinchers, Five Senses of Eros and A Frozen Flower. Soompi shared that the Descendants of the Sun actor could star in an imminent historical drama.

The entertainment news outlet claimed that Song Joong Ki was approached to become the lead character in the upcoming Asadal movie. The talent management of Song Hye Kyo's husband confirmed the reports saying that the Descendants of the Sun is currently in talks to star in this new project. However, it was revealed that the South Korean superstar has yet to decide on the offer.

"It is true that Song Joong Ki received an offer to star in historical drama 'Asadal.' However, the agency added that nothing has been decided regarding his next project."

The publication added that Kim Young Hyun and Park Sang Yeon will write the storyline and script for the forthcoming Asadal film. The pair previously wrote the plots of Six Flying Dragons, The Great Queen Seon Deok, and Tree with Deep Roots. Kim Jin Won, who previously worked with Song Joong Ki in The Innocent Man, is reportedly directing the imminent new movie.

Meanwhile, HelloKpop reported that producers Kim Jong Kook and HaHa are willing to cast Song Joong Ki should there be a chance. The duo revealed their "ambitious" plan during an episode of a show titled Naver's V Live . Aside from Song Hye Kyo's husband, the pair also mentioned BTS, EXO and Kim Soo Hyun.

It remains to be seen if these plans would come into reality in the future. The husband of Song Hye Kyo has yet to comment on Kim Jong Kook and Haha's statements. Stay tuned for the latest news and updates about Song Joong Ki!
