Drake has given his fans a lot to chew over the weekend. He has joined N.E.R.D. and Rihanna's in a new remix of "Lemon" and also Migos in a "Walk It Talk It" retro clip. The latest collaborations came a week after Drizzy teased his upcoming 2018 album.
Pharrell dropped the new "Lemon" track during a guest mix on a new episode of OVO Sound Radio on Apple's Beats 1 Radio over the weekend. He also tweeted a preview of the remix. Drizzy can be heard rapping at the beginning of the latest version of "Lemon."
"I get it how I live it/ I live it how I get/ Y'all don't really get it/ I pull up in a lemon/ Blocks get to spendin'/ Money 3D printin'/ Never had a limit/ Never been religious/ I just always had opinions," Drake sings in the audio clip.
The new "Lemon" version is now available on Apple Music, iTunes, and Spotify. "Lemon" is N.E.R.D. and Rihanna's collaboration from the former's No One Ever Really Dies reunion album which was released late last year.
Meanwhile, Drake also joined Migos on a retro music video of "Walk It Talk It." Drizzy, along with Migos can be seen in their 70s-inspired outfits as they perform in an aptly titled Culture Ride show. Jamie Foxx serves as Soul Train's host Don Cornelius who introduces Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff while Drizzy appears sporting his wavy wig.
The "Walk It Talk It" is one of the tracks from Migos' Culture II album which was released earlier this year. It debuted at No.1 on the Billboard Hot 200 and gave the trio another Platinum award in less than six weeks.
Drake 2018 Album
The Views hitmaker has confirmed that he is working on a new album that will be released this year. During the NBA's Raptors vs. Houston Rockets game in Toronto, Drizzy came out and revealed that his new 2018 album would be dedicated to his home city.
"I love each and every one of you, I'm happy to be home. I'm working on this new album for the city. Yeah, that's right. And by the looks of it, tonight, this win streak is over, so let's go get it," Drake told the crowd.
The Canadian singer first teased about his 2018 album at the 2017 OVO Festival in Toronto in August. Based on his recent post on Instagram, he is clearly working on his upcoming LP. In a photo that he shared last month, Drizzy is seen inside a studio. He simply captioned the photo "Back to terrorizing this room." So far, no details have been released about Drake next LP.
Since the release of More Life, Drake has dropped several singles and featured on a number of collaborations. His latest Scary Hours EP included "God's Plan" and "Diplomatic Immunity." "God's Plan" has stayed in the Billboard 100 for six weeks and also broken streaming records.
Meanwhile, there were also rumors that Drake is working on the upcoming album of Kanye West. Speculations indicated that both singers were in Jackson Hole in Wyoming based on the photos shared by West's wife, Kim Kardashian, and Drake's personal photographer, Theo Skudra, recently.
