Red Velvet, EXO, Super Junior And More To Headline 'SM Town Live World Tour VI in Dubai'

K-pop fans in Dubai now have the reason to celebrate as SM Entertainment is going to bring its talents in the country. This will be the sixth installment of the entertainment company's global K-pop tour series titled SM Town Live World Tour VI in Dubai.

This will be the first time that SM Entertainment is going to have a concert tour in the Middle East and the largest K-pop event in the country, South China Morning Post reported. In a statement, it revealed that it will be using a chartered flight to bring all of their artists, staff, and crew in Dubai.

Fans will finally see EXO, TVXQ, Super Junior, and Red Velvet up close and personal at the SM Town Live World Tour VI in Dubai. It will be held at the Autism Rocks Arena in the country, the same place that international stars like Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez, Ed Sheeran, and Sir Elton John performed.

Meanwhile, the SM Town Live World Tour was previously held in different countries. For the first leg, it started in Asia in 2008 and had been followed by concert tours in New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, Bangkok, and Singapore. It also held a concert at Seoul, Osaka, and Tokyo in July 2017.

As K-pop is now entering Dubai's music scene, known music labels of the genre intend to hold big events to cater what fans need. In fact, the followers of these types of songs are using streaming websites to listen to their favorite tracks.

It has been known that it is quite hard to find physical stores that are selling K-pop albums and music in their country. Aside from SM Town Live World Tour VI in Dubai, there were other K-pop events that had been held in the country since 2011.

In fact, CJ E&M's Korean wave convention, called KCON, was held in the nation's capital, Abu Dhabi, in 2016. Also, Girls' Generation member Taeyeon, Super Junior's Kyuhyun, Monsta X, SS301, Ailee, and SPICA have graced the Dubai's stage. Also, BTS had brought its phenomena in the region.
