K-Pop Girls Generation Tiffany's Cover Of 'Coco' Animated Movie Soundtrack Leaked
A new song of Girls' Generation member Tiffany has been leaked online. The song is Tiffany's cover of "Remember Me," the official soundtrack of the animated movie Coco.
Apple Music's iTunes service apparently shared Tiffany's version on Wednesday. The track is supposed to be released for the upcoming premiere of Coco in Japan on Friday. Though it was preempted, Tiffany said she is happy that her fans are excited to hear her new song.
"Well, this was unexpected, but surprise! I've been planning/putting together a new space where I can create and connect with you guys. And as most of you all know, I like to do things when they're all lined up - ready and set to go! Unfortunately, I'm sad to inform everyone that there was a leak before all the other cool things I have/had planned out for you. PS. For now, enjoy the new photo and enjoy this new version 'Remember Me' because it's dedicated to you," the Girls' Generation member said (via AllKPop).
Tiffany later shared her "Remember Me" cover on her social media accounts. The original song can be heard in several scenes in Pixar's animated movie Coco. "Remember Me" was written by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, the very same husband and wife tandem that penned the award-winning song "Let It Go" for Frozen. The duo's latest masterpiece also won the Best Original Song in the recent Oscars 2018.
Coco follows the 12-year-old boy, Miguel Rivera, who is transported to the land of the dead. He seeks the help of his deceased musician great-great-grandfather so he can return to his family among the living. The movie was first released in Mexico in October 2017 before it hit theaters in the U.S. during the Thanksgiving weekend in November. So far, the movie raked $25.7 million in box office in South Korea.
Girls Generation Tiffany Next Album
The California-born singer has teased on her recent social media post about an upcoming project very soon. It could be a new album or EP. Tiffany, or Tiffany Hwang in real life, said she will inform her fans about it as soon as everything is done. In December 2017, the singer said she already started working on her music and hopes to release new songs this year.
She dropped her first solo album, I Just Wanna Dance, in May 2016. Tiffany also released follow-up single "Heartbreak Hotel", featuring Simon Dominic a month later. She also collaborated with hip-hop group Far East Movement and was featured in the single "Don't Speak."
In October 2017, Tiffany left S.M. Entertainment along with bandmates Sooyoung and Seohyun, but she still remained a member of Girls' Generation. She later moved back to the U.S. and attended acting school. Tiffany previously said that she really wanted to try acting.
