‘The Bachelor’ 2018 Finale Arie Luyendyk Jr. Admits Regret in His Choice of Season 22 Winner
The Bachelor 2018 will not only have a dramatic finale but a shocking ending as well. Apparently, leading man Arie Luyendyk Jr. will be having a change of heart after the finale.
Arie has admitted that some fans will be shocked and probably get furious at him after they watch the season finale of the reality TV show this week. He said he is prepared for the backlash that is expected to be thrown at him after the show. ABC teased that The Bachelor 2018 finale on Monday will be the most dramatic of all.
"I know people are going to be hard on [me]. I made a mistake. And I'm prepared for the backlash. But all I can say is I had to follow my heart. [My decision] might not be the most popular. But for me, it's so worth it," Arie revealed in an interview with People magazine.
Arie also confessed to The Bachelor host Chris Harrison, during the Women Tell All special aired on Sunday, that if he could only bring back time, he would do it. He said he has some regrets about what happened in the show. This further fuel speculation that Arie did really call off his engagement to The Bachelor 2018 winner.
Who Did Arie Luyendyk Jr. Picked in The Bachelor 2018 Finale
There are only two ladies remaining in the competition - 27-year-old publicist Becca Kufrin and sales executive Lauren Burnham, 26. There have been reports that Arie proposed to Becca in the finale which was shot in Peru in November 2017. However, if rumors are true, it will not be a happy ending for Becca.
"He realized who he really wanted to be with and really loved. He just couldn't stop thinking about the other woman," a show insider told Us Weekly.
Reports indicated that when the show premiered earlier this year, the 36-year-old race car driver had second thoughts and started to doubt his decision. Apparently, Arie broke up with Becca in mid-January. He then pursued runner-up Lauren on camera and she did take him back.
Arie Luyendyk Jr. Slammed in Women Tell All Episode
During the special episode on Sunday, former contestant Caroline Lunny slammed Arie for "what he did" at the end of his season. Caroline suggested on national television that Arie doesn't know what he really wants and he is not seriously looking for love when he signed up for the show.
"This whole time, you've said that you are here because you are trying to find a wife. I know what you did, and I don't know how you could do that. I just really don't understand. But I really hope you found what you're looking for," she told Arie.
If speculations are true that Arie broke up with the winner and now dating the runner-up, this is not the first controversy for this year's The Bachelor star. Prior to the show's airing, Arie came under fire for allegedly breaking up with his girlfriend to be on the show. Arie explained that he and his former girlfriend split up six weeks before he found out that he will star in ABC's reality show.
