BTS Update: J-Hope's 'Hope World' Joins DJ Khaled And The Likes On Time Magazine's '5 SongsYou Need To Listen To This Week'

The much-awaited solo mixtape of J-Hope, titled Hope World, has been out on Thursday, March 1, and it is now hitting the charts. In fact, the BTS member's new album is included on Time magazine's "5 Songs You Need To Listen To This Week" list.

On Friday, March 2, Time revealed, via Soompi, the list of its music recommendation that includes J-Hope's Hope World. It described the BTS member's new album as the third from the group that released his own mixtape. The first two were RM and Suga.

Titled Hope World, Time explained that its first single with the same title is "a bouncy and fresh piece of rap-forward pop." The song was sung in the Korean language, but everyone can still relate to it with J-Hope's "infectiously upbeat vibe.

Aside from Hope World, "5 Songs You Need To Listen To This Week" list also includes DJ Khaled's Top Off featuring Beyonce, Future, and Jay Z. Also, it has Tengo's For You Too, It Runs Through Me by Tom Misch and De La Soul, and Amber Mark's Love Me Right.

J-Hope's Hope World is now loved by the many and even accepted warmly by the ARMY and the likes. It is also setting a new record as iTunes' most number one song from any Korean solo artist.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Time, J-Hope discussed the difference of his mixtape to BTS' music, the songs, and his group mates. "My fantasy had always been making a music video and performing with music that I had created," he said.

However, BTS always comes first no matter what he does. Thus, it took him two years to finish developing Hope World, which he calls his "calling card to the world." The mixtape tells the adventured inspired by Jules-Verne and his personal contemplations on fame, success, and optimism.

In spite of the album's different dialect, J-Hope made sure that there will be no language barrier between his music and his fans. The BTS member has been dreaming of creating his own story and shares it with the world.

J-Hope also admitted that his fellow BTS singers, RM and Suga, who also have their own mixtapes respectively, are his inspiration. In fact, the two and other group members, V, Jungkook, Jimin, and Jin, give their 100 percent support to him by lending their voice on Hope World's "Airplane."
