Steve Aoki, BTS working On A New Song After 'Mic Drop' Success; Responds To Producer Marz

After producer Marz allegedly called BTS' "Mic Drop" a trash, Steve Aoki came to the group's defense. On his Twitter account, the 40-year-old DJ addressed the controversy with a very classy answer.

Paul Thompson, who has worked with SM Entertainment, was reportedly insulted BTS while on Instagram live. Knowing that Aoki did the remix of "Mic Drop," a fan tried to get his attention to get his sentiments about the issue, SBS reported.

"Hey @LifeOfDesiigner @steveaoki there's a producer calling your great collab with @BTS_twt trash," a fan tweeted. This follower also said that he just wanted to give Aoki an update on what was happening and also looking forward if he would do a "diss track."

However, it looks like Aoki has no time to diss anyone and just answered with a very classy quote. "What one calls trash others will find the gold," the known electro house musician said. He also added that they should just do what makes them happy and it doesn't matter what other people think.

Of course, BTS fans praised Aoki for staying optimistic, not minding the negative things Marz allegedly said. He also received a number of responses from the South Korean boy band's followers.

To recall, Thompson went live on Instagram when a BTS fan said that the group is far better than the others. The producer didn't like what the alleged ARMY did, thus he started throwing insults at the boys.

He then compared EXO fans to the BTS' supporters, saying that the SM Entertainment's talent has been in the business longer than them. He also said that their fans are more matured than the ARMY. Worse came to worst when he called "Mic Drop" a trash.

Meanwhile, BTS' "Mic Drop" was a certified sought-after as it was claimed gold by Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). It was also the group's first international hit and got the No. 28 spot on the Hot 100 chart, according to Billboard.

It was also on the chart for nine weeks and ranked at No. 84 as of February 3. "Mic Drop" remix with Aoki and featured rapper Desiigner was also included in different music charts and had been included on Rhythmic Songs chart at No. 40.
