‘Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 & 2’ Coming To Nintendo Switch To Celebrate ‘Mega Man’s’ 30th Anniversary
Good news for gamers out there, Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 and 2 are finally coming to Nintendo Switch in Spring this year. However, the announcement along with the launch of a new video is a good thing that better things are coming for gamers of this popular franchise.
Capcom has recently made the announcement that both the installments of Mega Man Legacy Collection (also known as Rockman Classic Collection) will be launched to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the first Mega Man, which was released on December 17, 1987. The gaming aficionados can buy the collections through the Nintendo eShop (as separate digital downloads) or simply as a package from the retailers, Infosurhoy notifies.
Multiple features for the first installment
The website further states that Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 will be having the first six games in the Mega Man series. The Nintendo Entertainment System will provide the added features that will allow the users to save their game anywhere. NES considers this process much easier to use the highly complicated or trickiest parts than the previous game Mega Man 10.
The first installment will give the players an opportunity to rectify mistakes such as missed shot or ill-timed jump. Even Mega Man amiibo will be allowed to unlock eleven fan-created challenges, which was earlier available in the game that was released for Nintendo 3DS.
The second installment includes Mega Man 7 to 10's features
As far as Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 is concerned, it will feature Mega Man 7 to 10 including music, art, and challenges. The gamer will confront additional challenges being offered by Super Nintendo Entertainment System while using Mega Man amiibo. It further contains all previously launched DLC from Mega Man 9 and Mega Man 10.
Price details for both the installments
According to EuroGamer, there is no huge difference in price between the two upcoming installments - the first one will be sold at $14.99 and the second one at $19.99. Apart from these, Capcom also has a plan to launch the physical edition for both the installments on a cartridge and a digital download respectively at a cost of $39.99. However, Capcom has only planned this version to be released in North America. In future, they can consider going for the cartridge release in Europe.
Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 and 2 will be released on May 22, 2018.
