Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe News & Update: Pair's Insane Chemistry Continues 'Outlander' Success
The insane chemistry between Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe in "Outlander" is definitely one of the main reasons why their fans are hooked on the hit TV series. It seems like the couple doesn't have to work hard and exert too much effort to keep the fire burning between them.
According to Radio Times, Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe have always had an insane chemistry which works very well for their "Outlander" show. The chemistry that was showed during her screen test is actually why the executive producer Ron Moore chose the former "Victoria's Secret" model for the role of Claire. Moore said that it was after the screen chemistry test "was when she literally sealed the deal and got the show."
"They've already got the shorthand of their characters and there is definitely on-camera chemistry between the two. After the scene was over, we just kind of kept the tape running a little bit," Moore unveiled.
Moore also believed that there was a potential relationship between the two at the very start as there were spontaneity and genuine affection that reflected on their bond during the screen test.
Meanwhile, Balfe and Heughan are now filming the Season 4 of the series. Reports unveiled that it will have 13 episodes and that the cast has filmed a half of it. It is set to premiere later this year, and the producers are yet to reveal an exact release date.
Although shippers have been claiming that the "Outlander" stars are dating, the actors have already clarified that they are just friends. Whatever it is that Heughan and Balfe are doing, they should just continue it, as it's effective for their show. Balfe even won the award for Best Lead Actress at the Irish Film and TV Academy Awards (IFTAs) recently.
Just Jared revealed that Balfe stunned the red carpet and her fans at the 2018 EE British Academy Film Awards which was held at the Royal Albert Hall last Sunday, February 18 in London, England. She wore a "The Row" black dress and a Times Up pin to support the movement.
There's no doubt that "Outlander" is one of the most popular TV series nowadays. Perhaps, the commitment of the stars, Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe have made a huge impact on the success of the show.
