The Weeknd Makes Breakup With Selena Gomez Official, Unfollowed Her And Deleted Photos in Instagram

Some good things never last. The Weeknd expunged all of Selena Gomez's photos in his Instagram account making their split official.

The Weeknd whose real name is Abel Tesfaye left no trace of his most recent ex-girlfriend pictures in his social media account. He and Gomez have been dating for 10 months already after calling off their whirlwind romance.  Incidentally, Gomez has not yet deleted his photos from her Instagram account which has more than a hundred million followers. In fact, one of his photos is still there dated Sept. 5, E!News reports.

The Weeknd's deletion of Gomez's photos began after reports of her reigniting the romance with ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. There was an incident that she and Bieber were seen kissing each other.

Followers will no longer find the picture on The Weeknd's Instagram where Gomez held his face and planted a kiss on his cheek. However, fans are still fortunate since the screenshots of his Instagram Stories will stay where he uploaded an image of her endorsing Coach with diamond emojis.

"She and Abel have been going back and forth for a few months about their relationship.  It's been hard with him being on tour and her shooting in New York. That wasn't easy on them," a source told PEOPLE.

The problem seems to arise during Gomez's kidney transplant and she counted on her friends up against The Weeknd.  The source added that he could not be there for her especially when she needed her the most.  He may be supportive and sweet but it still is a long road for her and her friends not to mention Francia.

According to previous reports, The Weeknd was the one who initiated the breakup with Gomez and Bieber has nothing to do with it. Different sources say the same thing that their relationship is waning already since summer.
