Girls' Generation Taeyeon Is Coming Back In December

The queen is back! Girls' Generation leader and lead vocalist Taeyeon will be coming back as a solo artist in December with a Christmas album, marking it as her fourth solo album after her two previous EP album and one full studio album that was released earlier this year. It is reported that she is currently in the middle of recording the tracks as well as filming the music video. However, the certain release date is not yet confirmed.

Further details on the genre that her title song carries or the story behind it has yet to be revealed, but the singer has been proving herself to be one of the bestselling female artists whose song immediately crawls to the top of the chart each release. This sure brings excitement to the fans, especially Sone, Girls' Generation's fandom name who were curious about what kind of music she will explore this time.

Taeyeon will be holding a solo concert on December 23-24 at Kyung Hee University's Grand Peace Palace. She had also wrapped up her second tour 'PERSONA' that began in Seoul from May 12 to May 14 this year, and soon followed by her Asian tour in Taipei, Hong Kong, and Bangkok, as reported by Allkpop.

Meanwhile, three of Girls' Generation members, Sooyoung, Tiffany, and Seohyun had recently left the company not long after the group released their 10th debut anniversary album "Holiday Night". It was reported on October 9 that they decided not to renew their contracts with SM Entertainment, leaving the girl group's future unknown. SM later responded to the news, "Girls' Generation is a group that is precious and meaningful to SM and their fans. The members also have no thoughts at all about disbanding. Simply, as there are members whose contracts have ended, a careful decision will be made after discussions with the members about Girls' Generation's direction for activities in the future."

It was disclosed to public that while Sooyoung and Seohyun were planning to focus more on acting, Tiffany was planning to study acting in the U.S. And earlier this month, Sooyoung just signed an exclusive contract with Echo Global Group, home to Daniel Henney, Dong Hyun Bae, Lee Jung Min, Bae Noo Ri, and more to pursue career as both actress and singer, and if the conditions allow it, she might also be active as a Girls' Generation member.
