Nintendo Hosts Exclusive Launch Event for Nintendo 3DS

"Badge Arcade" lets 3DS owners personalize their home screen with badges or stickers of their favorite Nintendo characters. Nintendo "Badge Arcade" is a downloadable 3DS e-shop exclusive where players can enjoy a claw style game to win the badges or stickers, according to TechTimes.

The badges that is available in the mini-game are inspired from "The Legend of Zelda," "Animal Crossing" and Nintendo's "Super Mario Bros." Players can collect their badges to create colorful background for their 3DS home screen. "Badge Arcade" is the latest free-to-play game since "Rusty's Real Deal Baseball" in 2014 which quickly followed by "Pokemon Shuffle," according to Digital Trends.

Every player will have a chance of free five tries for the claw-machine like game but not for real badges. For every 10 badges, a player can play once during the tutorial and might be lucky to grab some badges that offers an extra play.

"There are many different machines that contain badges from popular Nintendo series such as 'Super Mario Bros.,' 'Mario Kart,' 'Animal Crossing,' and more," according to Nintendo's website.

"The machines can be tricky, so use your skill along with gravity, slippery surfaces, and chain reactions to your advantage to nab as many badges as possible! Don't forget that practice makes perfect - use five free daily tries on the Practice Machine to gain experience, and trade in dummy badges for real credits," the post continued.

Nintendo also announced the new mini-game through Twitter with the caption, "Badges! Crane games! Nintendo #BadgeArcade has it all! Grab it in the #eShop and customize your HOME Menu," according to TechTimes.

Japanese players have already tested the Nintendo "Badge Arcade" game, which just recently launched in North America and players can download it through eShop.
