Park Shin Hye Joins Supermodels Karlie Kloss, Miranda Kerr As Face Of Swarovski
Park Shin Hye is fast becoming a global fashion icon. After sitting front row at the Chanel Spring/Summer 2018 fashion show in Paris Fashion Week, the "Doctors" and "The Heirs" actress is now one of the faces of the luxury jewelry brand, Swarovski.
The 27-year-old drama star has been modeling for Swarovski Korea since 2016, but she was only picked as a global model this year. Park Shin Hye joins the brand's other global models like Miranda Kerr and Karlie Kloss.
Asia One reported that Park Shin Hye attended her launch event as a global model for Swarovski with an elegant red dress. She was also photographed holding Swarovski products in gift boxes.
This is the first time that a South Korean was named as the face of Swarovski. The brand usually employs supermodels to represent their products. According to an insider (via Korea Joong Daily), Park Shin Hye was chosen because "through movies, dramas and charities she has not only spread her influence worldwide but has also showed her dynamism, which the brand pursues."
Park Shin Hye is the perfect global ambassador for Swarovski and another fashion brand. The hallyu superstar has made a name for herself around the world by starring in globally successful dramas such as "Stairway To Heaven," "You're Beautiful," "Flower Boy Next Door," "The Heirs," "Pinocchio" and, most recently, "Doctors."
On the big screen but, perhaps, Park Shin Hye's most popular work was on the tear-jerker "Miracle in Cell No. 7" which became the eighth film to break the ten million mark in terms of ticket sales. It also received several awards including the Grand Prize for Film from the 49th Baeksang Arts Awards in 2013.
Her next project is called "Blackened Heart," a legal drama about a man whose daughter whose daughter was suspected of killing his fiancee. Park Shin Hye plays the role of Choi Hee Jung, the lawyer hired to clear the daughter's name. The movie directed by Jung Ji Woo will be released on Nov. 2.
