'2017 Mnet Asian Music Awards' Releases List of Award Nominees and Information on Voting

On October 19, the "2017 Mnet Asian Music Awards" or also known as "2017 MAMA" just announced the award nominees through a live broadcast from 5 to 6 p.m. KST. The annual event is a highly-anticipated one by K-Pop fans all over the world. For this year, the award show will be taking place on November 25 in Vietnam, November 29 in Japan, and December 1 in Hong Kong.

According to All K-Pop, artists from all over Asia will be attending the large-scale multi-day event. Fans can also vote on the "2017 MAMA" homepage, but the website is currently having technical problems. The opening date of the page will be announced soon. Additionally, the "2017 MAMA" voting will also be available in Qoo10.

Soompi said that the music released on October 27, 2016, to October 2017 were eligible for nominations. The award nominees for "2017 MAMA" Best New Male Artist include Wanna One, Golden Child, The East Light, Samuel, and Jeong Sewoon. For the Best New Female Artist award, the contenders are PRISTIN, DreamCatcher, MOMOLAND, Weki Meki, and Kim Chungha.

The award nominees for "2017 MAMA" Best Male Artist include G-Dragon, Zion.T, PSY, Yong Jong Shin, and Zico, while the Best Female Artist candidates are Sunmi, Suzy, IU, Taeyeon, and Heize. For the Best Male Group, the contenders are EXO, GOT7, NU'EST W, Wanna One, BTS, and SEVENTEEN, while the Best Female Group nominees are BLACKPINK, TWICE, Red Velvet, MAMAMOO, and GFRIEND.

The award nominees for "2017 MAMA" Best Band Performance include CNBLUE, DAY6, FTISLAND, Buzz, and Hyukoh. For the Best Hip Hop & Urban Music, the contenders are Dean, Mad Clown, Woo Won Jae, Zico, and Heize. The candidates for Best Collaboration are the following: Dynamic Duo and Chen for "nosedive"; Jay Park and Dok2 for "Most Hated"; Soyou and Baekhyun for "Rain", IU and Oh Hyuk for "Can't Love You Anymore"; and Hyorin and Changmo for "Blue Rain".

The award nominees for "2017 MAMA" Best Music Video include EXO, TWICE, Wanna One, BTS, and SEVENTEEN. For the Best OST, the contenders are Bolbbalgan4 for "You and Me from the Start", Suzy for "I Love You Boy", Ailee for "I Will Go to You Like the First Show", Chanyeol and Punch for "Stay With Me", and Crush for "Beautiful". The candidates for Best Vocal Performance Male Solo are the following: Zion.T, Yoon Jong Shin, Jeung Seung Hwan, Han Dong Geun, and Hwang Chi Yeol.

The award nominees for "2017 MAMA" Best Vocal Performance Female Solo include Kim Se Jeong, Suran, IU, Jung Eun Ji, and Heize. For the Best Vocal Performance Group, the contenders are WINNER, MAMAMOO, Bolbbalgan4, BTOB, and Highlight. The candidates for Best Dance Performance Solo are the following: Sunmi, PSY, Lee Hyori, Taemin, and HyunA.
