TWICE Copies BLACKPINK? Netizens Notice Resemblances in the Groups' MVs
TWICE just dropped its latest song, "One More Time." However, it seems like not all fans are happy about it as its choreography looks kind of familiar. It turns out, it resembles BLACKPINK's "As if It's Your Last."
TWICE recently surprised its fans by revealing its first Japanese song on Thursday. In just a few hours, their latest music video, "One More Time," gained more than 3 million views. And, as of writing, it has now over 4 million views.
It looks like TWICE's Japanese fans loved it. However, the group's new music video does not seem to work well with other fans because of its choreography. Many noticed its resemblance to another South Korean girl group.
Speculations say that "One More Time"s choreography looks so similar to BLACKPINK's "As if It's Your Last." One fan even combined clips from TWICE and BLACKPINK's dance videos to compare its steps and took it to Twitter. Because of this, many fans reacted seeing the resemblances between the two groups' choreography.
One fan even speculated that Park Jin Young, who choreographed BLACKPINK's "As if It's Your Last," watched other groups' videos and stole the steps. Another TWICE fan argued that "One More Time" was choreographed even before BLACKPINK's "As if It's Your Last." Thus, the latter does not own the dance.
Even so, one fan argued that BLACKPINK did the dance better than TWICE. The post sent both of the groups' fans into war. But, some asked the uploader to just delete the post comparing the two groups' choreography as it is causing chaos over the groups' fans.
Is TWICE's "One More Chance"s choreography inspired by BLACKPINK's "As if It's Your Last?" Or did the latter copied the other? Or is it just a mere coincidence? Be the judge and see both of the groups' music video below.
