'The Walking Dead Season 6' Cast Jeffrey Dean Morgan Confirmed As Negan; Glenn's Fate To Be Revealed?
American actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan has been confirmed to play the role of Negan, joining the cast of "The Walking Dead" for this season according to Hollywood Reporter.
Negan from "The Walking Dead" series is a major villain in the popular comic book series. He is the group leader of Saviors, composed of over 50 survivors based in Washington DC, who subjugate nearby communities in their area for resources to protect themselves against zombie attacks. He first appeared in the 100th issue of the comics titled "All Out War - Part 1."
With the series now having 5 seasons so far, "The Walking Dead" cast will now have Negan in the ongoing Season 6 of the hit TV drama. It premiered on Oct. 11 this year and introduced new characters as well such as Heath, Denise Cloyd, Scott, and Paul Monroe. Negan is set to appear in the season finale of the show.
The sixth season of the show is also expected to reveal what would be the fate of Glenn. Actor Ross Marquand, who plays Aaron, said in a previous interview that the big reveal will come soon enough according to an earlier report from Cinema Blend.
In the interview, Marquand stated: "(The answer is) right around the corner... The showrunner and the writers are not planning on keeping the audience in suspense the entire season."
The actor also said his thought about Aaron and Maggie in the show, saying: "I think, truthfully, they're the type of people who are optimists. They're very pragmatic but they're also the type of people that say, 'Listen, let's not rule out hope until there's legitimate proof that someone is dead or something is over.'"
Meanwhile, actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan, 49, is best known for playing Denny Duquette in the medical drama series "Grey's Anatomy." He is also known for his role as The Comedian in the 2009 movie "Watchmen" and John Winchester on TV series "Supernatural." He's been acting in film and television since 1991. He is the latest addition in "The Walking Dead" cast.
