Will 'Attack on Titans' Season 3 Have More Episodes?
"Attack on Titans" Season 3 could be getting more episodes! The anime is expected to adopt the "Uprising" arc, a major event that will see a shift in the stories of Erin Jaeger, Mikasa Ackerman, and Armin Arlert; the next installment is going to need a lot more than ten episodes when it returns next year.
After four long years of waiting, fans finally got to watch Season 2 of "Attack on Titan" earlier this year. Much to the disappointment of everyone, despite the hiatus, the previous season only had ten episodes. In comparison, Season 1 had 24 episodes that told the Fall of Wall Maria up to the capture of the Female Titan (who turns out to be Annie).
"Attack on Titan" Season 3 has already been announced and work on the next installment of the popular anime has already started. While there are not many details available about the next season, Comicbook.com thinks that fans will get a lot more episodes next year.
Because of its long hiatus, Wit Studio did not know how the audience would respond to the anime's return. Its successful sophomore run would likely mean better things for "Attack on Titan" Season 3.
According to the publication, Wit Studio has enough resources to move ahead with work on the upcoming season without getting sidetracked by other franchises. Moreover, the third season would have a lot of ground to cover if it was to explore "Uprising;" another two-cour like in Season 1 could be in order.
