JUSTICE LEAGUE Trailer 2 (2017)

As many would know the efforts of the DC cinematic universe have experienced some hardships in winning the hearts of both fans and the critics. However, they have regained their name as the most recent franchise Wonder Woman was released. The movie received a great feedback from most of the people.

Now, upon learning from their past success and mistakes the Warner Bros. and DC will be minimizing its interconnected DC Extended Universe for future films. They will be following a template that has been set by Patty Jenkins' blockbuster hit. This is something that has been talked about before, such as the standalone Joker prequel and director Matt Reeve's conflicting statements on whether The Batman would be part of the official connected universe of films, but now DC Entertainment has made it official, according to Vulture.

Furthermore, The DC superhero films will be divided up into what are supposedly two separate categories. Some of it will be films that are technically still set in the same DCEU continuity as Batman Vs. Superman and Justice League. However, instead of merging these films into one strict on-going narrative, the films will be allowed to breathe. It will focus on the characters individually and the specific vision of their respective directors.

As for the other half, it will be a totally unrelated film. For instance, the upcoming Martin Scorsese Joker origin story will be totally outside event that continuity. Those films that will be released under a new not yet announced side label will have the opportunity for the filmmakers to play with DC characters no matter what they are being portrayed in the other set of films, according to the Verge.

Meanwhile, the DC Entertainment president Diane Nelson said: "there's no insistence upon an overall storyline or interconnectivity in that universe." Adding that the audience will "see the DC movie universe being a universe, but one that comes from the heart of the filmmaker who's creating them," instead of more intertwined storytelling that audience has seen so far with Zack Snyder's films.
