Canadian singer and YouTube sensation Justin Bieber announced his upcoming world tour for 2016 during his appearance at "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," according to Metro UK.

When he was asked about his appearance on the popular talk show, Bieber, 21, responded: "I'm actually going on tour!

"This was the only thing I had to remember, and I don't remember it," he said. "You can go to my website. What am I doing? I'm here to promote an album and a tour."

Justin Bieber's upcoming world tour in 2016 will begin on March 6, with tickets to be available on sale next week. No other details have been confirmed by the Canadian pop star; however fans are already looking forward to his upcoming tour via Twitter using the hashtag #PURPOSETOUR, following his upcoming album title "Purpose" which is set for release on Friday, Nov. 13.

Bieber's newest album contains 13 songs, with the single "What Do You Mean?" included in the track list. A special duet remix with Ariana Grande has been released earlier. That being said, rumor has it that Grande, 22, might join Justin Bieber in his world tour for 2016, according to Perez Hilton's blog.

Born on March 1, 1994 in Ontario, Canada, Bieber rose to fame in YouTube after his mother uploaded his performance video of Ne-Yo's "So Sick" for a local singing contest in 2007. The video was uploaded simply for their family and friends to see him perform, and later on she continued uploading his videos that made him known in the said video-sharing website.

He was soon discovered online by former marketing executive Scooter Braun after clicking one of his videos by accident. Bieber soon flew to Atlanta, GA with his mother and Braun to record demos and a week later, he was singing for Usher. He went on to release his debut album "My World 2.0" and have hit records. To date, he has a total of four studio albums, 1 EP and 45 singles.
