'Blindspot Season 3 Episode 1: Jane & Weller Have A Massive Secret

Things will be a lot different when "Blindspot" Season 3 Episode 1 airs on NBC. After a final confrontation against Shepherd (Michelle Hurd) and Sandstorm, there was a massive time jump that opens a set of new mysteries. Ahead of the premiere of the new season, Jamie Alexander teases what is in store for fans of the crime series.

One thing is for sure: it will not run out of brand new cases to solve and secrets to be uncovered. Ever since its premiere, the series has followed Jane Doe, covered in tattoos and missing her memories, bit by bit bust the city's biggest and most-wanted crime groups.

In "Blindspot" Season 6, there are more cases to be solved. The previous season's finale hints at a return to the protagonist's tattoos but, this time around, a mysterious artifact made them glow. Moreover, her former colleagues have gone missing and it is up for Jane and Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) to find them.

However, according to Alexander, the two federal agents also have a secret of their own. In an interview with TV Line, the actor shared that Jane and Weller are hiding something big.

"Jane has a massive secret... and so does Weller," the 33-year-old stated. She also hinted that there will be flashbacks that will recount what exactly happened to Jane and Weller within that two-year time jump.

Alexander also gushed about the plot for "Blindspot" Season 3. She added that the flashforward will introduce new characters who are somehow connected to Jane. She, however, does not who they are and whatever their roles in her life.

"You guys'll be shocked," she exclaimed. "It's crazy."

Meanwhile, now that Shepherd is gone, Roman (Luke Mitchell) is going to be the big bad of the crime drama. However, unlike his adoptive mother, he has a different mission in the upcoming season.

Moreover, it looks like Roman will have a love interest this season. EW reported that "No Tomorrow" star Tori Anderson has joined the series as Blake, a socialite who will befriend the former terrorist.

Show creator Martin Gero even said that sparks immediately fly between the two characters upon meeting, but will she be a pawn in Roman's evil plans? Find out when "Blindspot" Season 3 premieres on Oct. 27 on NBC.
