'Gotham' Season 4 Spoilers: Joker, Batsuit Revealed
"Gotham" season 4 spoilers see the show moving closer to the comic books and movies, as supervillains embrace their identities and Bruce Wayne plays vigilante in some kind of early Dark Knight suit. In other reports, one dead character is coming back to life, while another is confirmed to be gone for good.
TV Guide gets a sneak peek at the "Gotham" season 4 premiere and concludes that Bruce is finally becoming Batman in all but name. And he's not sporting the iconic look of the caped crusader yet, either. Official "Gotham" teasers have revealed that Bruce will be gearing up for an early version of the Batsuit in season 4, but it's not quite the same as the classic costume we know and love.
Still, the idea is that Bruce is a youthful Batman with basically all of the key elements existing together in raw form. He has already trained under his mentor and enemy Ra's al Ghul, who will be playing a major role this season honing the young Wayne into a living weapon.
As for the villains, word is that Fish Mooney is out of the picture and absolutely not due for a return. Jada Pinkett Smith's fan-favorite villain has come back from the dead before. But "Gotham" executive producer John Stephen says that Mooney's demise at the end of season 3 marked her final curtain, reports ComicBook.com.
But another villain who died last season will be resurrected in a new form. Butch Gilzean's true name was revealed to be Cyrus Gold, which points to him being an iconic Batman villain, Solomon Grundy.
The show as a whole seems to be leaning into "iconic Batman" territory, with multiple villains taking on identities we can readily recognize. Jerome Valeska will emerge as the Joker, Jonathan Crane will be clad in the fearsome Scarecrow suit and Edward Nygma becomes the Riddler in full. As for Oswald Cobblepot, CinemaBlend reports that the Penguin gets a new partner in crime this season... and it's the Joker.
