Song Hye Kyo, Song Joong Ki Wedding: Why The 'Descendants of the Sun' Couple Are In The U.S.
There is only over a month before Song Joong Ki weds his "Descendants of the Sun" co-star, Son Hye Kyo. A couple of days ago, the Song-Song couple was spotted in LAX in the U.S.
According to reports, the real-life lovers flew out of South Korea not to go on a last-minute vacation before they tied the knot. Instead, the two are currently holding their pre-wedding photo shoots in San Francisco.
No details are available about the couple's activities in the States. However, All KPop reported that Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo are joined by close friends, hairstylists, make-up artists, staff members and professional photographer, Hong Jang Hyun.
The site also mentioned that San Francisco is quite special for both actors. The two apparently went on a private trip in the same city last year.
Meanwhile, Song Joong Ki's and Song Hye Kyo's agencies made informed the public that the Korean actors are in the U.S. to attend to personal matters. "It's not for an official schedule, but for personal matters," the statement read.
In other news, Park Bo Gum ("Reply 1988," "Love in the Moonlight") has already sent his congratulations and well-wishes to the "Descendants of the Sun" stars. During the 2017 Seoul Drama Awards held on Sept. 7, he was asked to say something to the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Song Joong Ki.
"I wish you and Song Hye Kyo much happiness together in the future," he stated while accepting the Best Actor for Hallyu Drama Award (via Soompi). "Although it's a little early, congratulations on your marriage."
Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo met and fell in love on the set of the war-romance drama, "Descendants of the Sun." They announced that they are engaged on July 5 and are set to be married on Oct. 31.
