Three new Xperia devices revealed via leaked photos with a possibility to be launched at IFA 2017 by Sony Mobile.

Sony Mobile may launch three new Xperia smartphones at the upcoming IFA event this year. Rumors have identified that these devices will be named as Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ1 Compact, and Xperia X1. The photos which leaked online showed the rear housing of the alleged Xperia XZ1 that seem to follow the design of Xperia XZ Premium, according to Slash Leaks.

Moreover, the back panel presents no fingerprint sensor which could indicate the similar installation of the scanner at the side of the smartphone. Preliminary specifications suggest that the rumored Xperia XZ1 offers 5.2 inches of FHD display screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, Adreno 540 GPU, 4 GB of RAM and 3000 mAh battery. The notable differences of the new smartphone versus the Xperia XZ are the higher RAM by 1 GB and USB 3.1, according to GSMArena.

A smaller version of the Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ1 Compact features 4.6 inches of HD display screen, similar processor, and GPU to its big brother and a 2800 mAh battery unit. The main difference between these two devices is the rear camera lens. Xperia XZ1 boasts 23 MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture while the Xperia XZ1 Compact has 19 MP rear camera lens based on early specifications. Both devices have IP68 certification for dust-tight protection and water resistance.

Rumored Xperia X1 is likely to be the mid-range variation with 5.0 inches of HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, 4 GB RAM and 2800 mAh battery. It is expected that Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ1 Compact, and Xperia X1 will run the latest Android 8.0 OS version inclusive of new enhancements on the user interface from Sony Mobile.

Sony Mobile's current flagship is the Xperia XZs that offers a powerful camera with MotionEye based on the Cyber-Shot cameras that can record 960 frames per second, ALKALEIDO metal finish, high-resolution audio with DSEE HX support, Smart STAMINA mode, Triluminos and X-Reality display engines and PlayStation 4 game support.
