Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is the next big thing to be launched later this August. Know the details about its display, design, camera and possible price tag.
South Korean tech giant Samsung confirmed the upcoming launching date of the next generation Galaxy Note 8 phablet on August 23, 2017, at Park Avenue Armory in New York City. Reports have leaked out interesting information about the innovation and upgrades on the device.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is speculated to have a stretched 6.3 inches of Infinity Display screen similar to Galaxy S8 with dual-edge near bezel-less curved design factor. A tweet from Ice Universe revealed an image of a screen protector designed for the new phablet that seems to match screen-to-body ratio on a video posted on Weibo.
The company will likely power Galaxy Note 8 with a model from Exynos 9 chipset series either based on Galaxy S8 or better. A prototype of the new phablet also features a vertical dual camera on the backside without visible indication of a fingerprint scanner. But new reports revealed that the fingerprint scanner is located on the back at the left side with the dual camera on the right and the flash in between, according to mobile accessory vendor MobileFun.
In photography, Galaxy Note 8 features dual camera setup with the wide-angle lens having 12 MP while the telephoto lens having 13 MP capable of three times optical zooming. It has been reported that the device boasts certain camera effects such as Super Night Shot to improve lighting and color under dim lights and Depth Application to select specified focus on the desired subject.
Other notable improvements which might be included on Galaxy Note 8 are VR technology, Bixby virtual assistant from Samsung and an upgraded S Pen functionality. Preliminary technical specifications suggest that the phablet is powered by Exynos 8895 CPU or Snapdragon 835 for the U.S. model, 6 GB of RAM and 3,300 mAh battery. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is likely to be available for sale on September 15 with a possible price tag of at least $900.
