Song Joong Ki, Song Hye Kyo’s Wedding In ‘Descendants Of The Sun’ Theme Park In Taebaek, Gangwon?

Officials from Taebaek, Gangwon Province, recently visited the agency of Song Joong Ki. They expressed the interest of the residents in their city in having the wedding of the actor and Song Hye Kyo held at their "Descendants of the Sun" theme park.

"Descendants of the Sun," in which Joong Ki and Hye Kyo co-starred, was filmed in at the theme park in Taebaek. The 50,000 citizens of the city sincerely hope the two actors' wedding takes place at the 'theme park where the KBS show was filmed and the love between the two blossomed, Korea Herald quoted an official from the city as saying.

The Taebaek officials gave Joong Ki's agency the details of how their city will support his wedding with Hye Kyo. These include the message of the officiant, outdoor wedding facilities and honeymoon accommodations.

Built around the set of "Descendants of the Sun," the theme park in Taebaek was completed in June. It has a reproduction of the Urk church from the KBS series and a statue of Joong Ki and Hye Kyo kissing, which was created based on a scene from the show. 

The wedding of Joong Ki and Hye Kyo is scheduled on Oct. 31. More than two months before the wedding, the former talked about his relationship with the latter during an interview with the SBS show "Night of Real Entertainment."

Joong Ki wanted to talk about his marriage to Hye Kyo because many people would be curious about their relationship, the former said. On the other hand, he asked for the understanding of the fans because there are some memories that he and his soon-to-be wife would like to treasure to themselves.

On July 20, Thursday, Joong Ki attended the premiere of "Battleship Island" at CGV I'Park Mall in Yongsan District, Seoul, Xports News reported. He was with his co-stars Lee Jung Hyun, So Ji Sub and Hwang Jung Min.

"Battleship Island" was directed by Ryoo Seung Wan. The film set in the Japanese occupation-era in South Korea hit theaters on July 26, Wednesday.
